Source: Rangers sign RHP Tyson Ross to 1-year deal

The Texas Rangers have added to their starting rotation by signing free-agent starter Tyson Ross, a source confirmed to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News on Friday.

The deal was first reported by Jeff Wade of KRLD-FM The Fan (105.3). TR Sullivan of MLB.com reports that the deal is for one year.

Ross had visited Arlington and met with club officials last Wednesday, Grant reported then.

The right-handed Ross (who turns 30 in April) made just one start in 2016 before experiencing shoulder difficulties. He underwent Thoracic Outlet Syndrome surgery in October, but the Rangers have had significant history with players coming back from that condition over the past 10 years.
