Rangers can’t hold back A’s late

The Athletics scored four runs in the final three innings, including the game-winning run in the ninth on Max Shrock’s ground-rule double that scored Matt Chapman with no outs to beat the Rangers 8-7 Saturday afternoon at Hohokam Stadium.

How Rangers pitchers fared: Eddie Gamboa allowed three runs on eight hits in four innings, including a two-run homer to Ryon Healy in the first. Four of the hits came in the first inning. Gamboa struck out three and walked none.
