Matt Moore slides into temporary role in Rangers bullpen

TORONTO - Matt Moore is still in the Rangers starting rotation, manager Jeff Banister said Friday, it's just that right now he's in the bullpen.

Such is the residue of trying to squeeze six starters into a five-man rotation.

Banister said Moore is scheduled to pitch on Wednesday at Cleveland to finish out the series with the Indians. It would be on eight days of rest. In the meantime, Moore has been pressed into duty as an extra relief arm. Moore has made three relief outings in his career, but just one since the end of the 2011 season.
