Matt Bush has seen dark places; did Rangers' closer see the light in saving 7-6 win over Yankees?

NEW YORK -- In his life, Matt Bush has spent enough time alone with nothing but his thoughts to let them spiral downward into dark places.

As baseball goes, the five days leading up to Sunday took him once again to a form of purgatory. He once lost baseball and knows he can lose it again. So sometimes, a slump - and back-to-back blown saves as a neophyte closer qualifies - can lead you to the worst places.

"You think about a lot of things," Bush said after closing out the Rangers' 7-6 win over New York Sunday.
