SURPRISE, Ariz. - Josh Hamilton has gotten back on the baseball field this week and says his balky left knee feels better than it has since he was the reigning MVP.

There are a few disclaimers, though:

-- Hamilton is not yet working out in spikes, which will significantly ramp up the pounding on the knee.

-- He is taking some grounders and pop flies in drills, but not running any full outfield routes.
