Cole Hamels is reportedly ready to return the mound after suffering a groin strain in his April 20th start against the Houston Astros. Hamels was scratched from his last start on April 25th against the Yankees due the injury, citing the move as a preemptive measure to make sure this did not become a lingering issue.

Hamels has been the best pitcher in the Rangers rotation so far this year, posting a 3-0 record and a 2.52 ERA with 23 strikeouts. The Rangers have won each of the four games Hamels has started with him only losing out on a decision on April 14th against Baltimore.
