Chirinos showing off power stroke of late

CLEVELAND -- With the Rangers trailing, 1-0, in the fifth inning Tuesday against the Indians, catcher Robinson Chirinos tied the game with one swing of the bat, belting a solo home run into the left-field bleachers off Indians starter Mike Clevinger.

Chirinos' game-tying shot proved to be a key play in the game, and the Rangers went on to defeat the Tribe, 2-1. In fact, long balls from Chirinos have been a lot more common of late. In his past nine games, the right-handed-hitting catcher has six homers, two doubles and nine RBIs.
