Adrian Beltre visits Rangers camp, expresses contentment in retirement

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Adrian Beltre, happy in retirement, paid a social visit to the Texas Rangers on Saturday morning.

Beltre stopped by on his way to Tucson to watch his son, A.J., play in an amateur tournament. Beltre's arrival was met with loud greetings and laughter.

"He brings a smile to everyone's face,'' manager Chris Woodward said.

Beltre retired last fall after eight illustrious seasons as the Rangers' third baseman and 21 years in the majors overall.
