93-65 - Rangers remember that they're pretty good, beat Brewers 6-4

At some point, around the the third inning with Texas trailing the Brewers 3-0, the Rangers realized that they are a good team who should be able to beat a 4th place team from the National League at least once with important playoff positioning on the line.

Perhaps it was deft bullpen management from the skipper tonight that proved the difference with A.J. Griffin laboring through his 4+ innings. The maligned bullpen tossed 4 2/3 innings of scoreless ball with Alex Claudio cleaning up for Griffin and then Tony Barnette, Keone Kela, and Matt Bush each tossing a scoreless inning before Sam Dyson came in for his usual nailbiter of a save.
