Junior Julia Beck followed a first-round 70 with a second-round 71 to finish 3-under par and in a tie for ninth to lead Texas.
Beck started the day with two pars before making a birdie on hole three to sit at 1-under. From there, she made two more birdies on five and seven with a bogey in between on six. She made back-to-back bogeys to close the front nine with an even 36.
On the back nine, Beck made a bogey on 11, but finished the round with back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18 to end 1-under for the day.
