AUSTIN, Texas – Texas junior left tackle Connor Williams was named a preseason first team All-American by the Associated Press on Tuesday. A 2016 consensus All-American, this is just the latest preseason recognition given to the Coppell, Texas native.
Last season, Williams earned second team All-America honors from the Associated Press, but was recognized as a first team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America, USA Today and the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Williams was also named first team All-Big 12 a season ago by the Big 12 Conference's coaches and the Associated Press.
