AUSTIN, Texas — In the most significant preview before the 2024 season, the first in the SEC for the Texas Longhorns, head coach Steve Sarkisian’s team is taking the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday for the annual Orange-White team, set for kickoff at 1 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network despite concerns throughout the week that rain forecast in the Austin area might force its cancelation.
Instead, the Orange and the White will match up with several projected starters not participating — super senior nickel back Jahdae Barron, senior defensive tackle Vernon Broughton, and senior edge Barryn Sorrell.
