Texas football gets this question every off-season, and with Big 12 Media Days just around the corner here, it won’t cease any time soon. The question of if this is the year that the Longhorns have finally made it back, or if this program has finally made it back over the hump will continue to be asked in 2018.
There’s a few reasons to believe that Texas will take another step forward this year, but answering this question also depends on what each fan believes getting over the hump means for this team. If that means to fans that the Horns get back on the road to becoming a legit contender for a title, it might be too early to say that.
