Former Texas football legendary running back Cedric Benson was noted by 247Sports as the worst draft pick of the 2000’s thus far for the Chicago Bears.
In the early-to-mid 2000’s, the Texas football reached the height of its player development in terms of the pure amount of talent they churned out for the NFL Draft. Texas churned out a number of stars throughout the 2000’s to the next level, but a lot of that player development waned for the program in the last decade.
Looking back on the former Longhorns that made their way to the next level in the early rounds of the NFL Draft since the turn of the century, it wasn’t all positives around the media landscape in recent analysis.
