Texas Football: 2012 commit Thomas Johnson murder trial found guilty

It was the 2012 Texas football recruiting class that was almost found of adding a player that is sitting among a ton of headlines at the moment. Back during the 2012 recruiting cycle, the Texas football program held the commit of the former five-star wide receiver prospect Thomas Johnson.

After committing to the Texas Longhorns football program, the Texas A&M Aggies and head coach Kevin Sumlin wound up winning the interests of Thomas Johnson over and caused a January 2012 decommit. Thomas Johnson would later commit to play for Sumlin and the Aggies instead of the Texas football program and former head coach Mack Brown.
