Report: Texas WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey moving to RB in wake of Warren injury

Texas receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey is going back to his roots.

The 6–4, 244-pound freshman will move from the receiver to running back, according to Orangeblood's Alex Dunlap. A former three-star recruit, Humphrey played running back in high school at Southlake Carroll.

The position change comes after the Longhorns lost sophomore running back Chris Warren for six-to-eight weeks with a knee injury, leaving Texas thin at running back behind junior D'Onta Foreman and freshman Kyle Porter.

Humphrey excelled as a rusher for Southlake Carroll, racking up 3,736 yards and 46 touchdowns on the ground. He has played sparingly as a receiver for Texas, recording two receptions for 15 yards in 2016.
