MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 9 Texas Men's Swimming & Diving won the 2024 Big 12 Conference Championship on Saturday at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. Texas won 19 of the 22 events to claim the Big 12 Conference title for the 28th-straight year and extend its streak of consecutive conference league title to 45, all under legendary head coach Eddie Reese.
The current streak dates back to the 1980 Southwest Conference championship. All told, the Longhorns have recorded a total of 66 conference titles (38 Southwest Conference, 28 Big 12 Conference).
Freshmen led the way on the final day of competition for Texas in the Big 12 Conference, earning victories in four of the five individual events won by the Longhorns, while also comprising half of the championship squad for the 400 free relay.
