AUSTIN, Texas – No. 7 Baseball shut out No. 23 TCU, 2-0, behind a complete game shutout from Pete Hansen on Friday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns (23-9, 4-3) needed just two runs on four hits with Hansen's gem on the mound.
Hansen was stellar from start to finish in his first career complete game. He set the tone early, striking out the side in the top of the first. He would go on to strike out 12 batters for the second-consecutive start, one shy of his career high.
He allowed his first baserunner in the third inning on a two-out single and only faced a small jam in the sixth with a walk and a single.
