The Longhorns finished the day 3-under par, the only team to shoot under par during round three, climbing five spots after the second day and sitting two strokes out of first place.
Junior Beau Hossler led the Longhorns with a third-round 67, climbing 12 spots to third place.
He made five birdies and only two bogeys for the round, starting on the back nine with a birdie on 10, following with four-straight pars. He made back-to-back birdies on 15 and 16 and made a bogey on 17, but closed the back nine with a birdie on 18 to make the turn at -3.
