AUSTIN, Texas – Freshman Joyner Holmes picked up her third double-double of the season and senior Brianna Taylor tied two career highs as No. 12/17 Texas Women's Basketball (13-4, 7-0 Big 12 Conference) defeated No. 20/25 Oklahoma (14-5, 5-2 Big 12 Conference) inside the Erwin Center on Tuesday night, 86-68.
With the win, Texas extends its win streak to 11 games and is off to the best Big 12 start in program history.
Texas leads the all-times series over Oklahoma, 29-24, and has won five of the last seven meetings.
"It was a really competitive game from the tip," said Texas head coach Karen Aston.
