In the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected D’Onta Foreman #89 overall in the Draft.
A few other teams that were projected to draft Foreman passed on him earlier in the second round. And, the wild card teams were the New York Giants, who worked out Foreman, and his hometown Texans. After the Giants passed on Foreman at #87, it opened the door for the Texans two spots later at #89.
Foreman was the seventh RB selected in the Draft. He followed first rounders Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey, second rounders Dalvin Cook and Joe Mixon, and third rounders Alvin Kamara and Kareem Hunt.
