EL PASO, Texas — Senior guard Kerwin Roach II knocked down a three-pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime, and freshman guard Courtney Ramey hit the game-winning floater with 47 seconds left in overtime to lift Texas (2-0) to a 73-71 victory over Arkansas (0-1) in the Armed Forces Classic. The game was played in Soto Gym at Fort Bliss in front of approximately 1,400 service men and women and their families.
Roach recorded a team-high 18 points and tied his career high with 11 rebounds while playing 39 minutes.
