Men's Basketball defeats Iowa State, 68-64 to advance in Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Freshman Jericho Sims pulled down a team-high 15 rebounds to lead Texas Men's Basketball past Iowa State, 68-64 to advance to the second round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Wednesday night at the Sprint Center.

Sims tied the Big 12 freshman single-game tournament record, for the most rebounds since Colorado's Andre Roberson on March 9, 2011. He also added eight points, two steals, and one block in the game.

Junior forward Dylan Osetkowski posted a team-high 20 points, shooting 7-of-18 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line, also adding five rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
