Texas Longhorns alum Colt McCoy – one of the program’s all-time greatest quarterbacks – isn’t ready to walk away from the NFL, according to a recent On3 report on McCoy’s future.
“I love the NFL. I love the Xs and Os. I love preparing, breaking teams down, matchups. That’s really what I love about the NFL. So I’m not saying no to playing,” McCoy said. “Unfortunately I had elbow surgery last January. Battled through it. Had a good training camp. Ended up getting released by the Cardinals. I just wanted to make sure my elbow was better than what it was when I ended with the Cardinals.
