Former Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman, who was replaced by recent College Football Playoff Semifinals qualifier Steve Sarkisian, recently provided his last Coaches Poll for 2023. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the fired former Texas coach, with roots in Austin as a graduate assistant, ranked Texas as No. 6 to end the year – outside the CFP’s Top 4.
