AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas Athletics played host to "Longhorn Honors: Women's Athletics" in the Touchdown Club in the North End Zone at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium Monday evening. This year marked the 43rd annual awards presentation for intercollegiate athletics for women at Texas.
The presentation honored the athletic excellence of the 2016-17 student-athletes and teams. It also featured seven "Awards of Highest Honor." Achievements from Spring 2016 along with Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 were considered for this year's awards.
Swimming and Diving claimed Team of the Year honors, as it finished in fifth place at the 2017 NCAA Championships.
