PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Texas Longhorns running back D'Onta Foreman was selected by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2017 National Football League Draft on Friday evening. He was taken with the 89th overall pick.
Foreman is the first UT running back taken in the draft since Chris Ogbonnaya was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2009 draft. He is the highest selected Longhorn running back since Jamaal Charles was taken in the third round of the 2008 draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
