Dickson named Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Year

IRVING, Texas – Sophomore punter Michael Dickson (Sydney, Australia) has been honored by the Big 12 Conference as the Special Teams Player of the Year. Dickson, who is a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, is the first Longhorn, and just the fourth punter in the conference, to win the award which began in 2005.

Dickson punted 65 times on the season for a school-record average of 47.4 yards per punt. His average was third-best in the nation, while the Longhorns' net punting average of 42.8 yards per punt was also ranked third nationally.
