Texas Heisman Trophy-winning alums Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams think “The Eyes of Texas” is important to the Texas Longhorns’ traditions, and that it should stay through 2020.
That’s according to a conversation they had with the Austin American-Statesman. From the
“I just believe that ‘The Eyes of Texas’ stands for something. And I think those young people going to the university, as they get older, they will understand,” Campbell reportedly said. “But I still believe there’s things to be done in this world other than (change) that song.
