Austin, Texas -- The University of Texas Silver Spurs, the honorary service organization charged with taking care of the beloved mascot Bevo XIV, regrets to announce that Bevo XIV will not be attending the Texas-OU AT&T Red River Showdown due to a life threatening condition still being explored by his veterinarians.
Bevo XIV has served as the university's mascot since replacing Bevo XIII in 2004. Bevo is one of the most recognized and beloved college mascots in the world who brings pride and honor to all alumni and fans of The University of Texas at Austin.
