AUSTIN, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced its 2017 Academic All-Big 12 Track & Field Teams on Tuesday and the Texas Longhorns came away with 32 honorees. A total of 27 of those were named to the first team for Texas as the league recognized 245 student-athletes overall. Kansas led the league with 44 selections, and Oklahoma State edged Texas with 36.
Texas landed 14 men on the first team and two on the second team. The women's team had 13 make the first team and three named to the second team.
