Will the Longhorns get Johnson or Harrison Back for Baylor?

One of the big topics this week surrounding the Longhorns is whether Charlie Strong will end the suspensions of WR Daje Johnson and OT Desmond Harrison.

Daje Johnson has been practicing with the team, but has remained suspended since August 3rd for violating team rules. Harrison, on the other hand, had his suspension lifted for the BYU game, but was then suspended again on September 3rd for violating team rules. Neither Johnson or Harrison has played a down of football this year. Their last game action came in the 2013 season finale against Baylor.

With Baylor coming up on Saturday, could both of these players return to the field? In Strong's weekly Monday presser, he was asked about the status of both players. "There's no update. We'll sit down and have a discussion with Desmond as well as Daje this week to see where we are."

Throughout the week, multiple reports have stated that Johnson has been getting more first-team reps than in prior weeks, which has lead to widespread speculation that his suspension may be coming to an end. Johnson has also posted two pictures on Instagram in the last few days that have furthered the suspicion that he may be returning to game action soon:

The return of one or both of these players would be a huge boost to the struggling Longhorns offense. Against a Baylor offense that leads the country with 56.8 points per game, the Longhorns are going to need to put points on the board. Desmond Harrison's return would make him the most seasoned veteran on the offensive line, and Daje Johnson is one of the most explosive and dynamic players for the Horns on offense. While Charlie Strong's Longhorns may not be able to compete in a shootout with the Bears, the return of these two players would definitely give them a better shot.
