With one second left last Saturday against Alabama, Texas A&M was suddenly on the verge of letting a key win slip away.
Then A&M junior Tonny Trocha-Morelos stretched out his long arms, deflected a game-tying 3-pointer and sealed a 56-53 win over Alabama at Reed Arena. It was a much-needed win for the Aggies and a bright spot in a season with few of those moments.
But A&M coach Billy Kennedy noted unless something special happens, the Aggies won't be making a return trip to the NCAA tournament. Kennedy said anything short of a return trip to the NCAA championship would be a disappointment.
