Top sleepers from 2012 SEC recruiting classes

We re-graded and re-ranked the SEC’s 2012 recruiting classes on Monday, and this morning, we looked at how the top-ranked recruits in that class fared. Now let’s look at some of the diamonds in the rough, the high school recruits or junior college transfers that didn’t get all the fanfare or have high expectations placed on them but enjoyed good careers at the college level. For the purposes of this exercise, only prospects rated three stars or lower were considered:

Jared Collins, CB, Arkansas: A product of nearby Tulsa, Oklahoma, Collins was a two-star recruit who was the 117th-ranked cornerback in the 2012 recruiting class.
