Jake Matthews is the starting left tackle for the NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons. Matthews went to Elkins High School in Missouri City, just a short drive south of Houston. A first-team all district and all-greater Houston honoree, Matthews continued his career at Texas A&M in 2010.
Since the midway point of his freshman season Matthews was a key piece of the Aggie offensive line. After being named first-team All-American during his junior season in 2012 and All-SEC in 2013 he was selected sixth overall by the Falcons in the 2014 NFL draft.
Matthews has football in his blood.
