The Gators entered the NCAA Tournament following a loss to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament. They survived their first test from a pesky East Tennessee State team, avoiding a first round upset.
They’ll move on to the Round of 32 to face Virginia, who won came from behind to beat UNC Wilmington earlier today 76-71. Florida showed today it has what it takes to make an even deeper run than the Round of 32.
Three Point Defense
If they’re going to advance a few more rounds they’ll have to go through Vilanova. The Wildcats shoot 37 percent from three and have been known to make them when they count.
