A recent Conference USA interim coach will fill a staff vacancy at Texas A&M, according to a report.
Florida International assistant Ron Cooper will be the Aggies' new defensive backs coach, according to TexAgs. Cooper was at FIU for the past two seasons and took over as the Panthers' interim coach after Ron Turner was fired in September. Cooper was hired as defensive backs coach at FIU before he was promoted to a coordinator role in 2016.
The spot fills the vacancy left by Terry Joseph. Joseph left to take the same position at North Carolina in January.
