Myles Garrett goes No. 1, as SEC ties record with 12 first-round picks

In what was arguably the least surprising move of the night, the Cleveland Browns selected Texas A&M standout defensive Myles Garrett with the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL draft. The All-American Garrett became the first Aggie to be drafted first overall.

He was the first SEC player to be drafted at No. 1 since South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney went first to the Houston Texans in 2014. He was also the eighth No. 1 pick from the SEC since 1998 and only the second non-quarterback from the league to be taken first during that span.
