Ironic? Texas A&M adds grad transfer TE Trevor Wood from … Arizona

Texas A&M, whose tight ends caught a combined 12 passes in the past three seasons, is adding a tight end to its 2018 roster. And he’s coming from the school that now employs Kevin Sumlin as coach.

Arizona grad transfer Trevor Wood announced Wednesday via Twitter that he would become an Aggie.

So blessed and excited to say that I have committed to TEXAS A&M. Thank you @TimBrewster and Coach Fisher for the opportunity! #GigEm pic.twitter.com/CXINGrQN2i

His former school didn’t throw to its tight ends all that much, either, as Wood – a former three-star prospect in the 2014 recruiting class from the Phoenix area – caught just nine passes in his Arizona career.
