Texas A&M true freshman Alton Robinson, a three-star defensive end from Converse (Texas) Judson, has been released from his scholarship because of unresolved legal trouble.
Robinson was arrested in February on a felony robbery charge; he faced a similar robbery charge in 2015.
Robinson chose Texas A&M over offers from Texas, Alabama, Baylor, Houston and others.
He won’t be the Aggies’ only highly touted true freshman not to see the field in 2016.
Davis was a four-star prospect from Houston Langham Creek who also had offers from Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
