Late this afternoon, Baseball America released their preseason All-America teams, which included a couple of well-known Aggie baseballers. OF Nick Banks was named to the second team, and DH Ronnie Gideon was tabbed as a third team infielder.
Last season, both Banks and Gideon were key pieces of Rob Childress' Aggies, as both hit 7+ home runs and drove in over 40 runs. Banks also hit .364, which ranked fourth in the SEC.
As you can imagine, Banks and Gideon both figure to play an important offensive part to the Aggies' success this season, so seeing them named to an All-America roster is well deserved.
