A&M athletic department brings in hefty revenue for 2015-16 academic year

Even a tumultuous 2015 football season couldn't stop Texas A&M and its athletic department from bringing in millions of dollars.

A&M's football team produced $69.6 million of net revenue for the 2015-16 academic year and helped the athletic department make $57.2 million, according to an NCAA financial report released by the university on Wednesday.

Athletics raised a little more than $194 million in total revenue while spending approximately $137.1 million. No money from student fees was allocated to athletics.
