Wozniacki races past Knapp after a slow start in Roland Garros round one

Fifth seed Caroline Wozniacki opened her French Open campaign with a 6-3 6-0 victory over Karin Knapp, the Italian that has arrived in Paris straight from winning a title in Nuremberg.

The peculiar thing about this match was that the first four games lasted more than half an hour, but soon afterwards the fifth-ranked Dane took firm control of the match, winning the last eight games to book her place in the second round. Wozniacki, who hit just nine unforced errors, was helped by Knapp's 50.

On a different note, here's how Caro, who next plays Julia Goerges, the winner over CoCo Vandeweghe in the first round, commented on her new Adidas Barricade dress designed by Stella McCartney:

I think the designers now know that when they design the shoes and everything, that even when they get the orange clay on it, it's still going to look good.
