British number three Kyle Edmund was unable to claim his first Wimbledon win as he lost in straight sets against Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov.

The 20-year-old Yorkshireman, ranked 101 in the world, was beaten 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 6-2 in one hour and 48 matches

Fellow wildcard Brydan Klein, 25, was beaten 6-3 6-2 6-2 by Andreas Seppi

Their defeats leave Liam Broady as the only Briton into the second round so far.
