No more Asics dresses: Timea Bacsinszky teams up with Le Coq Sportif in Paris

Once a famous representative of Asics, Switzerland’s Timea Bacsinszky, a former Top 10 player, made a welcome return to Roland Garros by wearing clothes of French apparel company Le Coq Sportif.

The 2015 and 2017 Roland Garros semifinalist, who skipped last year’s event because of a calf injury, won the opening round of qualifying on Tuesday with a 6-3 6-4 win over Hungary’s Fanny Stollar, launching her clothing partnership with Le Coq Sportif in a grey dress that features white mesh racerback and side blue, red and white stripes.

Neither Bascinszky nor Le Coq Sportif have mentioned their new deal on social media yet, but the Swiss did

comment on her victory:

Being able to be back here and win a match again – no matter if it’s qualifying or main draw – is so special.
