Tennessee softball: Vols beat Texas A&M in first game of Super Regionals

Ralph and Karen Weekly’s young team remain on a red-hot streak, and Tennessee softball moved to 4-0 in this year’s NCAA Tournament. The No. 8 seed Vols beat the No. 9 seed Texas A&M Aggies 8-1 in the first game of the Super Regionals Friday.

Matty Moss pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and one run.

Meanwhile, scoring on the Vols’ offense was spread out when it came to the eight runs. Jenna Holcomb was the star with a triple and two RBIs.

Holcomb, Aubrey Leach, Brooke Vines, and even Meghan Gregg all just had one hit.
