Tennessee Football: Ranking Vols Assistants by Head Coaching Potential

When Butch Jones took over the Tennessee football program in December of 2012, he guaranteed Vols fans that he would put together the best staff in the country.

Whether or not that is true is up for debate, but it is true that he relies heavily on his staff. And he is always quick to give them as much credit as possible.

One of the marks of Jones’s staff has been continuity. Of all nine assistant coaches, six have been there since Jones took over. One of the guys who left did so to take a head coaching job.
