Tony Robinson helped restore Tennessee football to prominence under Johnny Majors in the mid-1980s before he suffered a season-ending injury in 1985.
He then ran into a few personal issues after that and never played another snap with the Vols. Now, he is featured in an ESPN film the ‘Year of the Scab,’ which chronicles the 1987 Washington Redskins replacement players.
Robinson signed with the team after the players went on strike.
According to Rhiannon Potkey of the Knoxville News Sentinel, the film will premier in New York on April 27.
Robinson’s breakout career at Tennessee started with his impressive performance during the 1984 season.
