In a game the Vols had to have to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive, Tennessee did exactly what it needed to do. The Vols never allowed the 7-18 Tigers to threaten, jumping out to a 16-3 lead and never letting Missouri get closer than 10 the rest of the day. The lead was 13 at halftime and swelled to as much as 24 in the second half before Tennessee closed it out at 90-70.
Tennessee’s best basketball again came from its best players. Robert Hubbs looked quite healthy in scoring 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting with eight rebounds.
