Three-star linebacker Shanon Reid continued Tennessee’s recruiting momentum Wednesday, becoming the Vols’ 25th commitment for the class of 2017.
Reid (6 feet 1, 205 pounds), from Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar, chose the Vols one day after five-star offensive tackle Trey Smith did the same.
Reid is considered one of the top 40 outside linebacker prospects in the class of 2017. He chose Tennessee over offers from, among others, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri and Miami.
Reid is one of four linebackers currently committed to Tennessee.
